 PUBG Corporation on Thursday announced that it is planning to launch PUBG Mobile game in the Indian market, months after being banned by the government due to national security concerns.

The immensely popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile app was among the 118 Chinese apps that the Indian government banned in September over security concerns. At that time, the mobile game was crowned with India’s top downloaded title having around 50 million users, reports suggest.

With its South Korean parent company Krafton, Inc., PUBG Corp also plans to make investments worth $100 million in India to cultivate the local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries, the company said.

To get the ban lifted, the South Korean developer has made the decision to no longer authorise the PUBG Mobile franchise to China-based Tencent Games in India. Confirming this on Thursday, PUBG Corp said it is preparing a new game— PUBG Mobile India, created specifically for the Indian market.

The Indian subsidiary will hire over 100 employees specialising in business, esports, and game development, PUBG Corp said. In addition to establishing a local office, the company will look to actively collaborate and leverage local businesses to strengthen its gaming service, it added.

The company also revealed plans to provide a secure and healthy gameplay environment alongside investments to cultivate local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries.

To assuage privacy and data security concerns, PUBG said it will conduct regular audits and verifications on the storage systems holding Indian users’ personally identifiable information to reinforce security and ensure that their data is safely managed. To build and foster a healthy gameplay environment, in-game content will be improved and tailored to reflect local needs, it added.

Various aspects of the game will be customized for Indian gamers, such as the game now being set in a virtual simulation training ground, new characters automatically starting clothed, and green hit effects to reflect the virtual nature of the game.

The PUBG Corporation, however, did not disclose the launch date of the game.

New features added to all of the PUBG Mobile Maps include the new BRDM-2 Amphibious Armoured Vehicle. As the name would suggest, this vehicle is capable of travel on land and water and is armoured. PUBG Mobile 0.13.0 Update Brings 4v4 Battle Mode, New Zombies, Gorilla Theme, Friendly Fire, And More

Tencent Games today released PUBG Mobile v0.13.0 update, bringing new 4v4 battle mode for fast-paced firefights, along with several new improvements and addition to make game play better.

The biggest feature of the new update is the addition of Team Deathmatch mode to EvoGround. The mode features fast-paced firefights in both First-Person Persecutive (FPP) and Third-Person Perspective (TPP), and as well features a timed respawn where teams race to earn the most skills.

The updates also comes with Godzilla: King of the Monsters Theme along with multiple other thematic events, Vikendi Footprints, rewards and more. There's an upgraded third-party app prevention system and enhanced detection of cheating behaviour via Virtual apps, modifiers and emulators.

According to the patch note, the update comes with a popularity gift and ranking reward, and also a Charisma Ranking system.

PUBG Mobile developers have also added an MVP showcase system at the end of each match which gives players a default MVP pose.

Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation have announced that the game has over 400 million downloads and 50 million daily active users outside of China.

The PUBG Mobile 0.13.0 update is available for download for both iOS and Android device.

• The old zombies have been replaced by 4 types of new zombies.

• Added new mode combat modifiers.
• Certain zombies now have new abilities: Tanks will empower nearby allies; Skinners can slow nearby players.
• A new factory has replaced the police station.

Inventory improvements:

• Players can Now Combine items in batches.
• Equipped items will be displayed on top
• Duplicated new items will no longer be indicated by a red dot and the “new” tag.
• The Backpack and Helmet tabs have been moved to the Customization tab.

The sixth season of PUBG Mobile ended yesterday. The game received an update which brought with it Season 7 and a lot more stuff.

PUBG Mobile season 7 Royale pass is now available and has a bunch of new and awesome stuff. In addition to the new emotes and cosmetics, there is some unique stuff as well this time. Purchasing the Royale pass grants 600 UC which can be used to purchase it again next season. It also includes a new parachute and flight trail which is exclusive to Royale pass owners. Equipping this leaves behind a trail of smoke while diving or parachuting. Also, Royale pass owners will get a new appearance- the mustache which they can groom their characters with.

Most stuff about the PUBG Update was already leaked, courtesy of popular YouTuber- Mr. Ghost Gaming. So, you must be already be aware that a new weapon is coming to PUBG Mobile. The Skorpion is a machine pistol that fires 9mm rounds. It has dropped in all PUBG maps .

One of the main highlights of the new update is option to add pets as companions. You can select a pet, which are birds and it will be alongside you throughout your game. The bird does not do anything. It just gives you 'companionship'.

PUBG Mobile has also done a collaboration with Godzilla: King of the monsters. The film will be releasing on April 29 and its collaboration with PUBG Mobile is part of its publicity campaign. Players have spotted some T-shirts regarding the movie in the game. PUBG Mobile's twitter handle also tweeted about the same and asked players to parachute in to find clues to Godzilla's arrival. It is still unclear what these clues are and whether we will be seeing Godzilla in game.
